Alice W. Heath, 88, of Center Conway died December 27, 2009 at Mineral Springs of North Conway in North Conway. Born in North Conway, the daughter of Lewis A. and Alice (Cole) Willey, she was a descendant of the Willey Slide in Crawford Notch.
Mrs. Heath worked for Carroll Reeds for 23 years in North Conway and Conway
She was a lifetime member of the First Church of Christ Congregational in North Conway and had been an officer and member of the former Washington Chapter # 44 O.E.S. in North Conway.
Alice volunteered one day a week at the Gibson Center for Senior Services Thrift Shop in North Conway. She also enjoyed snowmobiling and camping with family and friends.
She is survived by her only child, Jeanne A. Greiner of Center Conway; three grandchildren, Michael Croft of North Conway, Jennifer Cajeira and her husband Jorge of Rahway, NJ and Anthony Croft and his wife Kimberly of Lodi, NJ and two great grandchildren, Kayla and Madison Cajeira, both of Rahway, NJ.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Lt Ralph S. Massey, a brother, Herbert Willey, three half-brothers, Reginald, Douglas and Niel and her current husband, George W. Heath, Jr.
Funeral services will be held in the First Church of Christ Congregational in North Conway later in the spring. Burial will be in the North Conway Cemetery. There will be no visiting hours.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mineral Springs Activities Department in Alice's memory.
The Furber and White Funeral Home in North Conway is in charge of arrangements.
